Funded training in Engineering Lean Leadership,

This funding is particularly targeted at the severe shortage of engineers in a multitude of disciplines that are aimed at Level 3 and above skills. Every manufacturing business has recently been affected by an increase in costs, material supply, energy and wage demands. In addition, recruitment is becoming increasingly more difficult with a reducing number of applicants within the skilled workforce.

The funding will enable the training of existing staff or potential new recruits into the industry around lean tools and practices in order to prepare them for the world of manufacturing in order to engage with a suitable employer.

The suitability criteria is that the individual is over 19 years of age, Cheshire resident or either gains or advances their career within an employer based within Warrington or Cheshire.

Funding is also available for HGV licence acquisition, also Fork Lift Truck Counterbalance and Reach trucks.
